Refund & Cancellation Policy

Our Refund and Cancellation Policy outlines the terms for subscription renewals, cancellations, and refund eligibility to ensure a fair and transparent experience.

This Refund & Cancellation Policy (“Policy”) explains how subscription cancellations, renewals, and refunds work when you use Dotzza (“Dotzza”, “we”, “our”, or “us”). This Policy applies to all paid plans and billing arrangements unless otherwise stated.

By purchasing a subscription or paid feature, you agree to this Policy.

1. Subscription Billing Cycle

Dotzza subscriptions may be billed on a monthly or annual cycle depending on the plan you choose.

Your subscription will automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless cancelled before the renewal date.

Taxes and payment processing fees may apply based on your region.

2. Free Trials

If your plan includes a free trial:

  • You will not be charged until the trial period ends.
  • If you do not cancel before the trial expires, your subscription will automatically convert to a paid plan.

Once the trial converts to a paid subscription, the standard refund terms apply.

3. Cancellation Policy

You may cancel your subscription at any time from the Billing section of your account.

Cancellation rules:

  • Cancellation stops future renewal charges.
  • You will continue to have access to your plan until the end of the current billing period.
  • Cancelling does not automatically trigger a refund unless you are eligible under Section 4 below.

Teamspaces or institution-based licences may follow additional administrative rules set by your organization.

4. Refund Policy

Dotzza follows a fair-use refund model. Refunds are granted only under specific conditions.

4.1 Eligible Refund Situations

You may be eligible for a refund if:

  • You were charged by mistake (e.g., duplicate payment, system error).
  • You were charged after cancelling, provided the cancellation was done before renewal.
  • You experienced technical issues that prevented the use of core features, and Dotzza support could not resolve the issue within a reasonable timeframe.
  • You were billed for an upgrade or plan you did not authorize (account compromise cases may require verification).

4.2 Non-Eligible Refund Situations

Refunds will not be issued for:

  • Partial use of the service during the billing cycle
  • Change of mind or lack of use after purchase
  • Failure to cancel before renewal
  • Dissatisfaction with AI-generated outputs
  • Issues caused by your device, network, or third-party integrations
  • Institutional or team purchases made through an authorized administrator

4.3 Annual Plans

Annual subscriptions offer discounted pricing and are generally non-refundable, except in cases of billing errors or technical issues described above.

5. How to Request a Refund

To request a refund, contact us at:

Your request must include:

  • The email associated with your Dotzza account
  • The charge you are disputing
  • The reason for the refund request
  • Any supporting documents or screenshots

We aim to review and respond to refund requests within 7–10 business days.

6. App Store / Play Store Purchases

If you purchased Dotzza through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store, all refunds must be submitted directly through the relevant store:

Dotzza is not authorized to process refunds for App Store or Play Store transactions.

7. Payment Failures

  • Dotzza may retry the charge
  • Access to premium features may be suspended until payment is completed
  • Your account may be downgraded after repeated failed attempts

You are responsible for maintaining valid payment information.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Refund & Cancellation Policy from time to time.

If significant changes are made, users will be notified through the Dotzza app or by email.

Continued use of the Services after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
